Node js is an open source, cross-platform runtime environment for easily building fast, scalable server-side and network applications. Node js applications are written in JavaScript.

Node js provides an event-driven architecture and commonly used for  real-time web applications that run across distributed devices.

Node js uses the Google V8 JavaScript engine to execute code, and most of the basic modules are written in JavaScript. Node js contains a built-in library to allow applications.It is simply a JavaScript runtime use another way to execute code on your computer.
